WHAT IS GUMBO?
The Gumbo Collective is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to fostering a community of independent game developers in New York City. Our mission is to provide space for these creators to work and collaborate as well as connecting them with the resources to help them succeed in a highly competitive market.
HOW DID GUMBO GET STARTED?
GUMBO was founded in 2016 when several indie game developers came together at a co-working space in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Conversations started, creativity sparked, and GUMBO emerged.
The collective expanded over time, and in 2020, GUMBO moved to a new, and larger space!
OUR SPACE
Located in the heart of DUMBO, our physical space is as inclusive and creative as the community that drives it.
We have fast wifi, a well-stocked kitchen, community areas for collaboration, private booths for meetings, and of course, lots and lots of games! If you’re interested in applying for residency, click here.
